Pudge’s Pub (Gloucester City)

Pudge’s Pub, in the former Max’s Cafe spot at 34 N Burlington Street, has quickly become a go‑to neighborhood hangout in Gloucester City with comfort‑food tavern dishes, cheesesteaks, and a laid‑back bar vibe. The family behind the original Pudge’s in Pennsylvania kept the classic wood‑and‑mirror bar and historic charm of the space, while refreshing the menu and making it a welcoming spot for locals and parade‑day visitors alike.

For this Sunday’s Gloucester City Irish Parade, Pudge’s is going big: they’re throwing a huge party right across the street with a fully tented parking lot and live music, so the celebration keeps going no matter the weather. If you’re heading into town for the parade, this is an easy place to post up before, during, or after the floats roll by and soak up the festive atmosphere.

🏡 Coming Soon: Real Estate Corner

Keep a look out, we’ll be adding a weekly real estate section featuring one standout South Jersey listing—think interesting homes, cool neighborhoods, and practical info for anyone who’s casually browsing or seriously house‑hunting. Each week we’ll spotlight a new property plus share a few quick market notes to keep you in the loop, whether you’re buying, selling, or just love peeking inside other people’s houses.

That’s a wrap on this week’s lineup — from the Gloucester City Irish Parade and Pudge’s big tent party to beer dinners, chunky blanket workshops, and tribute bands, there’s no reason to say “there’s nothing to do” around here. If you hit any of these, tag or DM @southjerseyweekender so we can share your photos and keep the local love going.

Know a business hosting something fun or have an event we should feature? Hit reply and tell me about it so we can get it in a future issue. And if you’re reading this because a friend forwarded it, you can hop on the list for free so your South Jersey weekend plans are always ready when you are.

Cheers!
