Hey Weekenders —
Just like that, we’ve made it to Labor Day Weekend and the unofficial final weekend of summer.
It feels like summer flew by, but we packed a lot into it — festivals, concerts, food trucks, farmers markets, nights out and plenty of weekends exploring South Jersey. We hope the Weekender helped you discover a few new places, make some great memories and get a little more out of your summer.
There’s still one big weekend left before the backpacks come out and the kids head back to school. From car shows and bluegrass to sunflowers, festivals, live music and more, there are plenty of reasons to squeeze in one last summer adventure.
Let’s send summer out the right way. 👇

Featured Home of the Week
Haddon Township Lake Views Under $500K
1137 Lakeshore Drive, Haddon Township | $489,900
3 Bedrooms | 1 Bathroom | 1,102 Sq. Ft.
Here’s one that caught our eye this week — a brick rancher overlooking Newton Lake Park for under $500K in Haddon Township. The large bay window in the living room looks out toward the lake and park, giving this smaller home a pretty great setting.
Inside you’ll find hardwood floors, three bedrooms and one full bath, with one of the bedrooms currently set up as an office/laundry/utility room. Outside, there’s a covered breezeway, patio, shed, driveway parking and a nicely sized 6,399-square-foot lot. Recent updates include a new roof in 2023 and dishwasher in 2026.
Location is another big plus: you’re a short walk from Haddon Township High School and Rohrer Middle School and just minutes from Westmont, PATCO and everything along Haddon Avenue.
👀 Coming Soon — expected on the market September 12.

That’s a wrap on Labor Day Weekend — and just about a wrap on summer.
Thank you for spending another summer with the South Jersey Weekender. Whether you used us to plan every weekend or just found one great event you otherwise would have missed, we’re glad we got to be a small part of your summer.
And to all the parents out there: we made it. The kids are heading back to school, routines are returning, and fall in South Jersey is right around the corner.
The good news? The Weekender isn’t slowing down. Fall festival season is about to kick into high gear, and September is already loaded.
Enjoy the long weekend, make the most of these last summer days, and we’ll see you next Thursday.
